In October 2025, VinFast officially became the first car company in Vietnam to sell more than 100,000 cars within the first three quarters of a single year. VinFast has been the best-selling carmaker in their home country for 11 months in a row.
In September 2025, VinFast supplied 13,914 electric vehicles across its lineup. This brought the total number of vehicles sold in the first nine months of the year to 103,884, the highest ever recorded in the history of Vietnam’s automotive industry.

As expected, the main volume driver was the VF 3, which is known as “the national electric car.” The first nine months of the year saw the sale of 31,386 units, including 2,682 in September alone.

The VF 5 came in second with 30,956 units sold during the same time period, including 3,847 units in September. The Herio Green, which is made for fleets, sold 8,604 units in total, with 2,173 units sold last month.

The VF 6 came in third in VinFast’s sales rankings, with 14,425 units sold since the beginning of the year, 1,933 of which were delivered in September, and a lot more orders still waiting to be filled.
The VF 7, on the other hand, was one of the most popular C-SUVs in Vietnam and sold 5,877 units over nine months, with 778 of those sales being in September.

In September, VinFast’s seven-seat MPV, the Limo Green, made for ride-hailing and premium transport services, sold 2,120 units, making it the best-selling vehicle in its class.
VinFast is ready to break even more records by the end of 2025, with three peak months still to come in Q4 and production capacity increased at its Hai Phong and Ha Tinh manufacturing complexes.
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Global Deputy CEO of Sales and Marketing at VinFast, remarked, “Behind the figure of more than 100,000 vehicles are millions of acts of trust and support from our customers. We are deeply grateful for their confidence and remain committed to delivering ever greater value, thereby accelerating Vietnam’s green transition.”
