Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) has made a significant statement in the local automotive landscape with the official launch of the all-new Monjaro EM-i, the brand’s latest flagship SUV. Unveiled at Okada Manila on October 28, 2026, the model introduces Geely’s advanced EM-i Super Hybrid technology to the Philippine market, aiming to bridge the gap between high-performance all-wheel-drive capability and plug-in hybrid efficiency.
Having already garnered international recognition by setting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the fastest crossing of Egypt’s Black and White Deserts by a plug-in hybrid production SUV, the Monjaro EM-i arrives in the country with impressive credentials.
The Monjaro EM-i is built upon Geely’s GEA Evo new energy architecture. The powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine mated to dual electric motors and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT). This configuration delivers a combined output of 335hp (250 kW) and a substantial 667 Nm of torque, distributed to all four wheels via an e-AWD system. The result is a SUV capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.83 seconds, with a top speed of 190 km/h.
Efficiency remains a core pillar for this launch. The Monjaro is equipped with a 29.8 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, providing an all-electric driving range of up to 130 kilometers. In combined operation, the Monjaro EM-i boasts a total NEDC range of up to 1,095 kilometers. For charging convenience, it supports DC fast charging, capable of reaching 30 to 80 percent charge in approximately 15 minutes. It also has 6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities that expand the vehicle’s utility, allowing it to power external devices or even assist other electric vehicles.
Inside, the Monjaro EM-i emphasizes comfort and a premium cabin experience. Measuring 4,800 mm in length with a 2,845 mm wheelbase, the five-seater offers significant interior space and up to 1,532 liters of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded. The cabin features an Amber Brown faux suede interior, 256-color ambient lighting, and amenities such as ventilated front seats with massage functions and a lay-flat reclining front passenger seat.
The infotainment system is centered around the FLYME AUTO platform powered by a high-performance E04 chipset. This is displayed across a 15.4-inch HD central screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a massive 25.6-inch Windshield Head-Up Display (W-HUD). Audio needs are managed by a 16-speaker FLYME SOUND system that includes speakers integrated into the headrests.
Safety is comprehensively addressed through a robust suite of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS). This includes standard features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, and a 540-degree panoramic view system with transparent chassis capabilities to aid in maneuvering. Passive safety is bolstered by six airbags and a variety of electronic stability and traction controls.
The all-new Monjaro EM-i Luxury is priced at P1,868,000. To support the launch, Geely Motor Philippines is offering Exclusive Launch Privileges valid until December 31, 2026, which include a P60,000 cash discount, charging benefits valued at P 40,000, and additional extended pre-sale benefits. These include a luxury suede interior, front seat massage function, 19-inch spare tire, premium luxury floor mats, a portable charger, as well as a home charging station, all valued at P128,000. The vehicle comes with a 6-year or 150,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an 8-year, unlimited-mileage warranty for the battery.
