VinFast’s initial units of the VF 3 have arrived in the Philippines, and preparations are being made to launch the nameplate next week. With its wallet-friendly SRP, the brand believes it will shake this up in the Philippines, where the volume of motorcycles on the streets keeps growing.
While we haven’t driven, or even seen it, for that matter, it’s obvious why it caused a stir when it launched in its home country of Vietnam. It broke records with 27,400 pre-orders in just 66 hours from launch.

The VF 3’s selling points are clear:
- Price point. Guaranteed to be priced below 800 thousand pesos (P800,000), the VF 3 is attainable for budget-minded folks who’ve always wanted a car. The price will even be lower if the customer avails of the VF 3 with a battery subscription, which, so far, only VinFast offers.
- Compact size. Measuring 3,190 mm L x 1,679 mm W x 1,622 mm H, the VF 3 should be ideal for Metro Manila’s tight alleys and fit into tight street parking spots. It’s also great for city dwellers, where not everyone has a dedicated garage in their home.
- Design. The VF 3’s modern, eye-catching design is a hit with young drivers who crave style. Despite its small size, it can fit four adults comfortably. It’s perfect for everyday life, from the daily commute to errands to weekend adventures. Plus, the VF 3 will come in nine different colorways.
- Zero emissions. Being a pure EV, the VF 3 has zero emissions, That’s a big draw for eco-conscious consumers worried about the impact of gas-guzzlers on air quality and public health.
Vinfast hopes to replicate the VF 3’s success in Vietnam in other Southeast Asian countries and make more customers in Southeast Asian markets consider the VF 3 for their EV purchase.
The Vinfast VF 3 is set to launch on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Watch this page for updates
