The 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), officially opened at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, welcoming thousands of visitors on its first day and marking the start of the country’s premier celebration of mobility, innovation, and automotive culture.

Celebrating its milestone 10th edition, PIMS returns under the theme “Forward in Every Drive,” highlighting how the automotive industry continues to evolve through a broader range of mobility solutions that are more efficient, connected, and future-ready for Filipino consumers.

Driving innovation forward together

The opening ceremony gathered automotive executives, government representatives, industry stakeholders, partners, media, and automotive enthusiasts in a shared commitment to advancing the future of mobility in the Philippines.

During his keynote speech, Guest of Honor Director Patrick Aquino, CESO III of the Department of Energy’s Energy Utilization and Management Bureau, underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between government and industry through platforms such as PIMS.

He also highlighted the event’s role in bringing together key stakeholders, saying, “Over the past decade, the PIMS has served as an important platform for showcasing innovation, fostering industry engagement, and highlighting the continuing evolution of the Philippine automotive sector. This year’s theme, ‘Forward in Every Drive,’ appropriately captures the direction in which the mobility sector is moving: toward innovation, greater efficiency, and smarter approaches to meeting the country’s growing transportation needs.”

Echoing this vision of innovation and collective progress, CAMPI President Jing Atienza emphasized the automotive industry’s commitment to shaping a more inclusive and responsive future during his opening remarks. “Through collaboration and shared progress, the 10th PIMS showcases how the industry continues to push boundaries while shaping a future that is inclusive and responsive to the needs of Filipinos,” he said.
