Nissan has named Masao Tsutsumi as the new president of Nissan Philippines, effective April 1, 2025. He will report to Toshihiro Fujiki, President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand, and will be based in Manila.
Masao Tsutsumi currently serves as the senior vice president of Nissan Motor Thailand, overseeing functions such as marketing, sales, dealer network development, customer experience, customer quality, after-sales, human resources and administration, communications, external and government affairs, legal, information systems, and corporate planning.
Tsutsumi has more than twenty years of expertise in marketing, branding, sales, and aftersales across many sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), technology and electronics, and food services. He joined Nissan in 2018 under the Japan Brand and Media Strategy and became part of the ASEAN Market in 2021.

Yasuhisa Masuda, the present president of Nissan Philippines, will assume a new position, the details of which will be disclosed in due time.
Nissan Philippines, under Masuda’s leadership, introduced the Nissan Z Nismo, the Almera Sport trim, and the upcoming all-new Patrol. He has also expanded the brand’s presence with four new dealerships. Under his leadership, the brand commemorated its 55th anniversary in the Philippines and unveiled the new brand philosophy “Always Daring.”
Tsutsumi’s official inauguration will be made after his qualification under Philippine laws and the confirmation and election by NPI’s Board of Directors.
