MIAS 2025: Celebrating 20 Years of Automotive Innovation

The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), organized by Worldbex Services International (WSI), is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025. What began in 2005 as a vision to create a world-class automotive showcase has evolved into the Philippines’ premier automotive event.

The show’s origins trace back to a collaboration between motoring writers Jason K. Ang, Ulysses K. Ang, and Alvin Uy, and WSI’s founding chairman, Joseph Ang. Inspired by international auto shows, they aimed to bring a similar experience to Filipino car enthusiasts. Joseph Ang, honoring his late father’s legacy in the automotive industry, seized the opportunity, leading to the inaugural Manila Motor Show in April 2005.

Over two decades, MIAS has garnered international recognition, becoming a key platform for brands to launch new models. It has also earned the support of organizations like the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), Tuason Racing School (TRS), and Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI).

Reflecting the global automotive landscape, MIAS 2025 will highlight innovation, particularly in areas like AI-assisted driving. Notably, East Asian manufacturers lead in automotive patent applications: Japan accounts for 57.75%, followed by South Korea at 16.61% and Germany at 12.28%. These statistics showcase the region’s significant contribution to automotive advancements.

This year’s MIAS promises to be the largest yet, featuring over 200 car displays from brands including Aion, BAIC, BYD, Changan, Chery, Foton, GAC, Great Wall Motors, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jetour, Jaecoo, KIA, Lynk & Co., MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Omoda, Seres, Suzuki, Vinfast, and Volvo. Over 90 exhibitors are expected, with major sponsorships from BPI Auto Loans, Petron, and Shell.

Join the celebration of 20 years of automotive excellence at MIAS 2025, from April 10 to 13, 2025, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. Exclusive 5+1 ticket packages are available at https://manilaautoshow.com/.
