MG Motor Philippines has begun delivering the G50 PHEV to customers nationwide, a launch that industry observers say reflects accelerating Filipino interest in practical electrified vehicles. A ceremonial turnover at MG Alabang marked the start of retail sales after the model drew more than 800 reservations following its April 2026 preview at the Manila International Auto Show.
“This turnover represents an exciting milestone for MG Motor Philippines as we begin delivering the G50 PHEV to our customers,” said Mr. Wei Wei Zhang, President of MG Motor Philippines. “We are encouraged by the positive response to this model, and we remain committed to providing Filipino motorists with innovative mobility solutions that combine performance, efficiency, and everyday usability.”
The MG G50 PHEV is priced at P 1,398,000 for the sole PHEV variant. The features refined interiors with captain seats, a 12.3-inch dual-screen infotainment display, wireless mobile phone charging, and a power tailgate, among other comfort and convenience features.

Its plug-in hybrid system promises electric driving for daily commutes paired with gasoline range for longer trips, with a factory-rated total combined range of up to 1,415 kilometers. The model targets families seeking a middle ground between full-electric range anxiety and conventional combustion convenience.
The strong reservation numbers and immediate deliveries suggest buyers value electrified powertrains that do not compromise practicality or ownership ease. MG’s expanding dealer network and aftersales support are positioned to lower barriers for first-time plug-in hybrid customers and to hasten broader adoption of new energy vehicles in the market.
Prospective buyers are invited to visit authorized MG dealerships for test drives and specifications as the G50 PHEV enters regular retail distribution.
