The all-electric JAECOO J5 EV exceeded its officially declared driving range in an Automobile Association Philippines (AAP)-observed endurance test held July 14–15, 2026, recording 539.2 km versus a declared NEDC range of 461 km.

The run began at Petron Marilao, Bulacan, traced TPLEX north to La Union and finished in Subic, exposing the J5 EV to mixed road and traffic conditions typical of long-distance Philippine highway travel. Over the course of the test the vehicle delivered consistent energy efficiency, stable battery performance and reliable long-range capability, underlining its real-world endurance.

Built around an advanced electric powertrain, the JAECOO J5 EV pairs intelligent safety tech with modern connectivity, aiming to serve both daily urban commutes and extended highway journeys. The endurance result reinforces the model’s promise of confidence and efficiency for Filipino motorists.

The achievement also ties into OMODA & JAECOO’s broader push beyond electrified mobility, from the global “Play Loud, Shine Proud” campaign during the FIFA World Cup to AiMOGA, the brand’s humanoid robotics initiative showcasing AI-driven mobility concepts and smart ecosystems.

As EV interest grows in the Philippines, the JAECOO J5 EV’s test performance highlights modern EV potential. OMODA & JAECOO Philippines will officially launch the all-new JAECOO J5 EV on July 22, 2026, at the Glorietta Activity Center giving local buyers the chance to experience its range and features firsthand.
