Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has donated equipment, furniture, and fixtures to the Child Neuroscience Division of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC), supporting the hospital’s expanding pediatric neurology services.
The turnover will help equip the New Brain Center Building, particularly the Third Floor Left Wing, where specialized facilities are being developed for children with neurological, neurosurgical, developmental, and behavioral disorders. The donation includes office desks, chairs, file storage units, and child-friendly tables and seating designed to help launch operations in the new wing and create a more organized, welcoming space for healthcare workers and patients.
As one of the Philippines’ leading pediatric hospitals, PCMC serves thousands of families each year, many of whom depend on accessible public healthcare for specialized treatment. The expansion of the New Brain Center comes as demand continues to grow for neurological and developmental care for children, making the additional support timely as the hospital prepares to expand its services.
The deed of donation signing and turnover ceremony was held at PCMC and attended by IPC President Mikio Tsukui and PCMC Executive Director Cecilia O. Gan, underscoring the partnership between the two institutions in improving healthcare access for Filipino children.
“PCMC fulfills a profoundly noble mission by serving one of the most vulnerable groups in any nation – our children. Through this donation of essential equipment, furniture, and fixtures, we hope to contribute to an environment where children with neurological and developmental conditions can receive the specialized care they deserve. Supporting institutions like PCMC is one way we can help strengthen the future of our communities,” said IPC President Mikio Tsukui.
For Isuzu Philippines, the initiative is part of its broader corporate social responsibility efforts across the country. The company said the program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, through support for healthcare infrastructure and patient care services.
“We would like to thank Isuzu Philippines for embracing and supporting PCMC. This support will go beyond delivery of healthcare services, providing a better environment for our patients and for our healthcare workers providers,” said PCMC Executive Director Dr. Cecilia O. Gan.
The initiative forms part of IPC’s continuing corporate social responsibility efforts across the Philippines, demonstrating that the company’s commitment to progress goes beyond the automotive industry, extending to initiatives that help build healthier and more resilient communities.
