Isuzu Philippines Corporation has turned over 205 new trucks to the Philippine Army, reinforcing its support for the government’s fleet modernization program and the military’s nationwide mobility requirements.

The ceremonial handover was held at Camp General Servillano A. Aquino in Tarlac City, led by Isuzu Philippines Corporation Executive Vice President Yasuhiko Oyama alongside Major General Florante Piol Sison, Commander for Support Command of the Philippine Army, and other officials.

The new fleet consists of 117 Isuzu NPS units and 88 Isuzu FTS trucks, all fitted with troop carrier bodies built by F. Cura Industries. The vehicles are intended to transport military personnel, equipment, and essential cargo, while also supporting disaster response and recovery operations.

(L to R): Isuzu GENCARS Inc. VP for Sales and Marketing Albert Zata, IPC Department Head for Dealers Sales Mario Ojales, Philippine Army Group Commander – 1st Logistics Group Command Support Colonel Arturo DL Palma Jr. OS (GSC) PA, Philippine Army Chief of Staff – Support Command Colonel Joseph F. Manangan Minsa (OS) PA, Philippine Army Commander – Support Command Major General Florante P. Sison PA, IPC Executive Vice President Yasuhiko Oyama, F. Cura Industries General Manager Florencio Cura, F. Cura Industries Deputy General Manager Marion Cura, Isuzu Tagum President Walter Alvarez

“Isuzu has long been a trusted partner of various industries and institutions in the country, supporting mobility and progress. Today, we are honored to extend this role in contributing to national defense by providing vehicles that will support the Philippine Army in fulfilling its mission to serve and protect the Filipino people,” said Oyama.

The delivery underscores Isuzu Philippines’ continuing role in supplying long-term transport solutions for government use. With Philippine Army units deployed across the country, the new trucks are expected to improve operational readiness, mobility, and field reliability in both military and humanitarian missions.

Both the Isuzu NPS and Isuzu FTS are equipped with 4×4 drivetrains, a key feature for navigating rough roads, mountainous routes, and remote areas where dependable transport is critical. The NPS, part of Isuzu’s N-Series light-duty range, uses the 4HK1-TCN Blue Power diesel engine and is designed to balance power, fuel efficiency, and maneuverability. Its more compact footprint makes it suitable for urban deployment as well as hard-to-access rural terrain.

The FTS, from Isuzu’s medium-duty F-Series lineup, is engineered for heavier payloads and longer-distance operations. It is powered by a 6HK1-TCN engine producing 240 PS and 706 Nm of torque, giving it the strength and stability needed for troop movement and equipment transport over steep and rugged terrain.

All 205 units are EURO IV compliant, aligning with evolving government requirements for more environmentally responsible fleet operations. Isuzu also said the trucks will be supported by its nationwide dealer network, with aftersales service and genuine spare parts aimed at helping maintain vehicle uptime and long-term operational capability.

The latest turnover highlights how Isuzu Philippines, together with dealers Isuzu Makati and Isuzu Tagum, is positioning its commercial vehicles as durable, serviceable, and mission-ready assets for national defense and disaster response.
