The ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 has kicked off, running from July 24 to August 26, and Hyundai — the tournament’s Title Partner — is banking on regional passion for football to unite fans under its “Driving ASEAN as One” campaign. With the global tournament season winding down, attention now shifts to Southeast Asia, where millions will follow every match, cheer every goal, and gather around shared moments on and off the pitch.

Football in Southeast Asia is more than sport; it’s a cultural glue that crosses borders, languages and generations. Packed stadiums, lively watch parties and neighborhood conversations keep the game alive from city centers to smaller towns. Hyundai aims to amplify that energy by creating experiences that draw people closer to the tournament and to one another.

“The end of one global football tournament marks the beginning of another exciting chapter for Southeast Asia,” said Faraz Shamsi, Executive Marketing Director, Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific. “The ASEAN Hyundai Cup represents the passion and unity that make football so special across our region. Through our ‘Driving ASEAN as One’ campaign, Hyundai is proud to help create memorable experiences that connect fans and celebrate the spirit of ASEAN.“

Ahead of the first whistle, Hyundai has already put thousands of supporters face-to-face with the competition through the ASEAN Hyundai Cup™ Trophy Tour, giving fans a chance to see the trophy up close. Now that the tournament is underway, the brand is staging a slate of fan-first activities across ASEAN: community activations that celebrate local football culture, customer events at participating Hyundai dealerships, and Kids Escort programs that let young supporters walk onto the pitch beside their football heroes before kickoff. These initiatives are designed to make the Cup about more than 90 minutes of play; they turn matches into shared memories.

Hyundai frames its involvement as more than sponsorship. The ASEAN Hyundai Cup embodies the company’s long-term commitment to the region and its belief that mobility and sport can strengthen connections between people. Under “Driving ASEAN as One,” Hyundai is supporting experiences that celebrate ASEAN’s diversity, passion and unity.

As the tournament progresses, Hyundai is calling on fans across Southeast Asia to rally behind their national teams and to celebrate each goal, each cheer, and every moment together.
