Is the HONOR X9c 5G Their Toughest Phone Yet?

Aiming to capitalize on the success of its predecessors, HONOR Philippines is launching tonight the third edition of its viral X9 series, the HONOR X9c 5G. Priced competitively at P16, 999, the HONOR X9c 5G is the highest trim among the brand’s C Series of entry-to-mid-range devices. At this reasonable cost, it offers durability, quality, and performance. Called the all-angle triple defense phone, the HONOR X9c 5G boasts an SGS 5-Star certification for drop resistance and an IP65M classification, which lets it be plunged up to 25 cm deep for a maximum of five minutes.

“HONOR X9c 5G has an all-angle triple defense now. It is not just drop-resistant anymore, where HONOR X9a and X9b 5G were known for, HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng said. “ It is now water- and heat-resistant, and that makes this smartphone the toughest phone to hit the market yet.“

Three main factors contribute to the ultra-tough polycarbonate and polymethyl methacrylate body of the HONOR X9c 5G as well as its longevity. First, it makes great use of Back-to- Back Super Double Tempered Glass for the camera and screen module, far more robust than regular glass. Excellent drop and scratch resistance from this premium material provides 360-degree protection from falls of up to two meters for the device. The HONOR X9c 5G achieved a Guinness World Record for “The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously.” As part of HONOR Philippines’ pre-launch events, 264 people in all participated in the approved event held in Makati City on January 6, 2025.
