HONOR has unveiled the Robot Phone, a category-creating smartphone that embeds a fully motorized 3-axis mechanical gimbal and cinematic imaging tools into a pocketable flagship. The company says the device is designed to act as “an active physical companion and a formidable mobile production studio,” bringing professional-grade capture and hands-free creation to everyday creators.
At the core of the Robot Phone is a compact 4DoF mechanical system featuring the HONOR Titanium Agile Gimbal. HONOR reports the assembly uses more than 100 precision components across 60 manufacturing processes and is covered by more than 100 patents. Compared with mainstream external gimbals, the company claims a 65% size reduction and a 200% increase in structural strength. The system pairs a 2.6g Titanium Gimbal Motor capable of up to 360° per second with a HONOR Super steel Flip Motor delivering 120 N·m/L torque density—specifications HONOR says enable fast, precise movement and stable positioning in a pocketable chassis.
The Robot Phone also represents the first consumer product to ship under HONOR’s Cinematic Imaging Partnership with ARRI, the professional cinema-camera specialist. The rear camera array is led by a Dual 200MP setup: a 200MP Agile Gimbal Main Camera (1/1.28-inch sensor, f/1.6) and a 200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera (1/1.4-inch sensor, 2.7x optical zoom). A 50MP ultra-wide with a 122° field of view completes the trio.
HONOR says the Agile Gimbal Main Camera supports 10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording in an ARRI CINEMA mode, and that the device combines ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks with HONOR’s H1 Image Chip. According to the company, AI noise reduction boosts video SNR by 8 dB, AI dynamic-range optimization supports up to 14 stops, and the video pipeline performs noise reduction earlier in the RAW domain while processing in 14-bit 4:4:4 and outputting 10-bit LogC3 and 4:2:2 files for post-production. ARRI Looks can be previewed in real time, and footage can be imported into professional NLEs such as DaVinci Resolve with ARRI LUTs applied during grading.

Beyond imaging, the Robot Phone introduces embodied AI and robot-grade motion control through MagicOS. YOYO Robot Mode combines multimodal perception, contextual understanding, gesture recognition and physical movement to turn the phone into an autonomous camera crew. Movement modes include Tilt Lock, First Person View (FPV), FPV Vertical and AI SpinShot; Voice Source Localization and AI Live-Tracking let the camera pan and tilt to keep subjects framed automatically. Hands-free gesture controls deploy the camera arm and capture shots without touching the device, and YOYO Auto Execution lets a system-level AI agent carry out multi-step tasks across apps. HONOR says an open Agent Skills interface will allow third-party developers to build new gimbal and perception-driven experiences.
Under the hood the Robot Phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and an advanced cooling system designed to sustain peak performance during extended recording. Battery capacity is a 7,060mAh Next Gen HONOR Silicon-carbon pack with 120W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge. The phone features an all-metal integrated-molding unibody, a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED HONOR AI Eye Comfort Display protected by HONOR NanoCrystal Shield, adaptive 1–120Hz refresh, and a peak brightness HONOR lists at 6,800 nits. Advanced eye-comfort tech includes 4320Hz PWM dimming.
HONOR debuted the Robot Phone at Mobile World Congress 2026 and subsequently showcased stabilized tracking shots at Cannes Film Festival’s China Night and the Shanghai International Film Festival. The company says a global commercial rollout has begun, aiming to make pro-level filmmaking tools more accessible to consumers and creators worldwide.
