BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, officially opened its biggest exhibit to date at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026, underscoring its vision for a more electrified and connected Philippines. Through its expansive BYD Pavilion, the brand is showcasing its full New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup while giving visitors an exclusive preview of two upcoming models: the BYD Sealion 7 and BYD Atto 2 EV.

BYD’s Biggest MIAS Exhibit Yet

Visitors to MIAS 2026 can explore BYD’s growing lineup of electrified vehicles, spanning both Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Super DM-i/DMO models.

BYD BEV lineup on display were the BYD Seagull, BYD Atto 3, BYD eMAX 7, and the BYD Tang EV. The BYD Super DM-i and DMO lineup on display included the BYD Seal 5 DM-I, BYD Sealion 5 DM-I, BYD Sealion 6 DM-I, BYD Tang DM-I, BYD eMAX 9 DM-I, and the BYD Shark 6 DMO.

The exhibit highlights BYD’s broad approach to mobility, offering electrified vehicles designed for city driving, family use, long-distance travel, and performance-oriented lifestyles. Aside from the BYD Pavillion, the Drive Electric, Love Pinas BYD Shark was on display at the foyer, and a selling booth was also set up beside the test drive area.

Special Preview: BYD Atto 2 EV and BYD Sealion 7

A major highlight of the BYD Pavilion is the preview of two highly anticipated models ahead of their official Philippine launch later this year.

BYD Atto 2 EV

The BYD Atto 2 EV is a smart, stylish urban electric crossover designed for modern Filipino families. Compact yet practical, it blends everyday usability with a sleek and contemporary design, making it well-suited for city living and daily commuting.

BYD Sealion 7

The BYD Sealion 7 is a premium, performance-focused electric SUV built to deliver both excitement and refinement. It features a bold aerodynamic design, an advanced All-Wheel Drive system, and a technology-rich cabin equipped with the latest driver-assistance systems.

Customers may place reservations for the BYD Sealion 7 at MIAS or at all BYD dealerships nationwide for a P50,000 reservation fee starting April 9.

Together, the Atto 2 EV and Sealion 7 reflect BYD’s strategy of combining high-performance engineering, intelligent features, and practical mobility solutions for a wider range of Filipino drivers.

“Our participation in the Manila International Auto Show is the ultimate display of BYD’s relentless innovation. With the showcase of the full NEV lineup, we are proving that there is a BYD for every Filipino. We are going beyond just selling cars, we are leading the movement that transforms how the country moves,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines.

Supporting EV Adoption Through ACMobility’s Charging Network

Beyond its vehicle display, BYD is also highlighting how EV ownership is supported by ACMobility’s growing charging ecosystem. A dedicated hub within the booth showcases the company’s integrated charging infrastructure and end-to-end support services designed to keep BYD owners powered and connected.

ACMobility continues to expand the Philippine EV Spine, its nationwide charging network, which now includes over 160 charging locations and counting.

“We have continuously been building the ecosystem that makes electric travel a reality for every Filipino. By expanding the Philippine EV Spine, our nationwide network of over 160 charging locations and counting, we are eliminating range anxiety and fortifying the country’s readiness for EV adoption alongside BYD’s extensive lineup,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility.

“Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” Campaign Reaches New Milestone

As part of MIAS 2026, BYD also announced the culmination of its nationwide journey marking the official public launch of the “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” campaign.

In partnership with ACMobility and the Department of Tourism, lead navigator Wil Dasovich completed a cross-country drive from the northern tip of Luzon to the southern part of Mindanao. The convoy included 20 electrified vehicles and was supported by the Philippine EV Spine and BYD’s 79 dealers nationwide.

The journey served as a large-scale real-world test of BYD’s electrified technologies, from pure EVs to Super DM-i vehicles, and reinforced the message that electric mobility in the Philippines is no longer theoretical—it is already a working reality.

The nationwide expedition also led to two Guinness World Records: (1) Most cities visited in a continuous journey by an EV, and (2) Most cities visited in a continuous journey by a PHEV.

The recognition was awarded after the BYD eMAX 7 and the BYD Shark 6 DMO visited 102 cities across the Philippines.

Alden Richards Named Newest BYD Brand Ambassador

Adding to the momentum at MIAS 2026, BYD officially introduced multimedia star Alden Richards as the newest face of the brand.

As an advocate for technology and innovation, Richards’ partnership with BYD reflects a shared mission to inspire more Filipinos to embrace a more electrified, high-tech, and sustainable future on the road.
