Araneta City Opens its Streets for aRUNeta Run Club

Looking for a new spot to engage in physical activities or just want to enjoy leisure time with loved ones on weekends? If so, take note: Araneta City rolls out its aRUNeta Run Club at the City grounds, offering a new experience for Araneta City-zens and nearby areas.

Through this program, Araneta City grounds becomes an ‘open public space’ from 5:00AM to 9:00AM every Sunday starting September 8. Pedestrians are free to roam around or do physical activities such as running/jogging, Zumba, cycling, and walking. The aRUNeta Run Club initiative aims to provide a safe outdoor space for citizens to do their recreational activities in the grounds of Araneta City without the obstruction of vehicular traffic.

“We, at Araneta Group, believes that having open spaces is essential for creating a balanced and healthy urban environment as it provides much-needed breathing space and relief from the hustle and bustle of city life. Apart from improving the well-being of Araneta City-zens, aRUNeta Run Club also serves as a social hub, bringing people together and fostering a sense of community,” said Marjorie Go, vice president for marketing, Araneta City.

The following roads will be closed partially for pedestrians: Gen. Romulo Ave., Gen. Roxas Ave., Gen. Araneta Ave., Gen. McArthur Ave., Gen. Aguinaldo Ave., and Times Square Ave. These roads are of free of charge, and pedestrians are reminded to keep the grounds clean and trash-free.
