Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has officially launched to the public the all-new Mitsubishi XFORCE, the SUV specifically designed with the ASEAN market in mind. The launch showcased the vehicle’s cutting-edge specifications and features, disrupting standards in the compact SUV segment.
Stylish Yet Powerful Design
The exterior design of the Mitsubishi XFORCE exudes excitement on every journey as it boasts a silky and solid design concept, promoting a trendsetter lifestyle. It sports a new generation dynamic shield and Mitsubishi Motors’ signature T-shaped LED headlamps and tail lamps, combining dynamic aesthetics and performance.
The XFORCE gives off a tall stance with its high ground clearance of 193 mm, one of the best in its class. Its tall and muscular stance is paired with stylish 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels to complete the look, making a statement on the road.
Advanced & Sophisticated Interiors
Inside the cabin of the XFORCE is a world of comfort and luxury. For the driver’s convenience, it features a horizontal axis design with an 8-inch digital meter display to maximize space. Its intuitive dashboard layout ensures that all controls are easily accessible.
The XFORCE comes with a 12.3-inch touch-screen Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Through the screen, the driver can customize the wallpaper and change the vehicle information display to AVIONICS, and multi-meter view (Reliable, Adventurous, Responsive).
Avionics shows a plethora of vehicle information, such as the current drive mode, steering input, individual tire pressure (for the GT variant), brake pressure, coolant temperature, ambient temperature, and barometer. The three (3) drive modes display various information: the Reliable view shows the Steering Angle, Active Yaw Control (AYC) Monitor, and Traction Control; the Adventurous view displays the Altitude, Tilt Angle, and Compass; and Responsive displays the Torque, Acceleration, and Fuel Economy (both Instant and Average). The XFORCE also features a Driving Score function where you can determine how smoothly you drive based on your acceleration, steering, and braking scores, which will be displayed on the screen.
The spacious cabin is meticulously designed with premium materials and finishes, offering a refined ambiance. The GT variant has a dashboard panel with a white Mélange fabric design with soft padding, and the interior is further accented with ambient lighting.
Elevated Comfort
Both the front and rear seats of the XFORCE are ergonomically crafted to provide optimal support for all occupants, with the rear seats having an 8-step recline function. For the GT variant, the seats are in comfortable synthetic leather with Heat Guard (black with brown trim), while the GLS variant has black and gray fabric seats. The XFORCE provides ample legroom for all its passengers.
Mitsubishi Motors takes comfort to the next level by ensuring passengers of the XFORCE breathe fresh air with its Dual Zone Climate Control with nanoeTM X. Its air-conditioning has built-in nanoeTM X technology, which purifies and deodorizes the air circulating in the cabin.
Practicality in Action
The Mitsubishi XFORCE is perfect for long trips and daily travels from point A to point B with its smart storage spaces and charging solutions. It has a center console box equipped with a cooling function and can keep up to four (4) drinks cool during the drive. Type A and C USB ports are available in the front and rear. The GT variant features a wireless smartphone charger. The XFORCE has several storage features, such as an under-seat tray, multiple pockets, and versatile cargo space.
For maximum storage capacity, the cargo space is dual-level and the rear seats can be folded fully flat. To effortlessly access the trunk, the GT variant has a hands-free power tailgate with a memory function to save the preferred tailgate height opening.
Driving Capability
Both variants of the XFORCE come with a 1.5-liter MIVEC engine that combines efficiency with power. The engine is paired with a new continuously variable transmission (CVT).
With the ASEAN market specifically in mind, this compact SUV is engineered to traverse any road condition. The XFORCE has four (4) drive modes: Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud. These drive modes adjust power delivery, traction control, and steering effort for maximum driving confidence in various situations.
Advanced Safety Features
The Mitsubishi XFORCE is engineered with an array of advanced safety features, ensuring peace of mind for all occupants. Features such as Active Yaw Control, Active Stability and Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, SRS Airbags (4 for GLS variant and 6 for GT variant), and Reverse Camera are all available in both variants.
Auto Lighting Control, Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), Blind Spot Warning System (BSW), Leading Car Departure Notification (LCDN), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) are available in GT variant only.
Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Mitsubishi Motors has partnered with Yamaha to equip the XFORCE with a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system. This 8-speaker system was expertly tuned for the cabin by Yamaha sound meisters to deliver an in-depth and immersive auditory experience, transforming every drive into a concert-like journey. The system has four (4) default sound types: Signature, Lively, Powerful, and Relaxing. The system adjusts the equalizer and volume to match the vehicle speed, ensuring an unparalleled listening experience.
Whether navigating city streets or exploring off-road paths, the XFORCE delivers a driving experience that is both exhilarating and reliable, making it the best-suited partner for an exciting life.
During the grand launch, guests had the opportunity to explore the XFORCE up close, engage with Mitsubishi engineers, and experience the Yamaha sound system in their listening booth. The presence of Yamaha Japan representatives to explain the technology and its benefits added a touch of international prestige, emphasizing the global collaboration behind the development of the XFORCE.
