The All-New Suzuki e VITARA made its first official Philippine debut at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). The electrified SUV is the brand’s first fully production-ready global EV, and Suzuki Philippines is eyeing the local rollout around Q4 this year. Aimed at modern professionals, urban families, and weekend adventurers, the electric SUV is positioned not just as a tech showcase, but as a practical daily driver for local roads.

A New Chapter for Everyday Mobility
The local reveal was spearheaded by Norihide Takei, Director and General Manager for the Automobile Division at Suzuki Philippines. During the official unveiling, Takei emphasized that the e VITARA marks a pivotal moment for the brand’s local lineup.
“Today, we take a monumental leap forward into a bold new chapter,” Takei stated. “The All-New e VITARA reflects Suzuki’s commitment to delivering advanced mobility solutions that inspire confidence, excitement, and practicality for today’s generation of drivers. As we move toward the future of electrification, we invite everyone to join us as this new era begins.”

Metal Beast Styling and a Premium Lounge Cabin
Visually, the e VITARA introduces Suzuki’s “Metal Beast” design language. The SUV features a distinct coupe-like silhouette, sharp geometric character lines, and an aerodynamically sculpted roofline. Up front, it wears 3-point matrix LED headlamps, complemented by a clean, minimalist rear aesthetic designed to stand out in tight city streets and crowded parking structures alike.
Inside, Suzuki has swapped traditional cabin layouts for a smart lounge experience. A seamless dual-display setup dominates the dashboard, while a twin-deck floating center console utilizes a sleek rotary gear selector to maximize physical space. To ensure an unobstructed view of the road ahead, drivers are greeted by a unique two-spoke polygonal steering wheel.
Comfort features are heavily tailored to the grueling realities of daily traffic. The cabin boasts three-tone leatherette bucket seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and ventilated front seating. For cargo and passenger flexibility, the rear features a 40:20:40 split-folding seat with sliding and reclining capabilities. Customizable multicolor ambient lighting, soft-touch materials, and distinct textures round out the interior appointments.

Platform, Performance, and Real-World Range
Underneath the sheet metal is Suzuki’s brand-new “HEARTECT-e” platform, a dedicated architecture engineered specifically for pure electric vehicles. This setup maximizes interior space and structural rigidity while providing robust protection for the floor-mounted battery pack.
The powertrain consists of a highly efficient electric axle generating 174 ps and 93 Nm of torque, which is paired with a 61 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack. To cope with the intense heat and stop-and-go gridlock of local roads, the battery system is equipped with advanced liquid cooling, thermal management, and multiple built-in safeguards against short circuits and overheating.
The e VITARA addresses range anxiety through verified local testing. Official homologation data submitted to the Department of Energy confirms a range of up to 475 kilometers on a single full charge. This provides more than enough energy for a standard week of city commuting or a direct drive from Manila to Baguio with range to spare. Furthermore, in independent economy runs conducted by the Automobile Association Philippines, the EV achieved an impressive efficiency rating of 87.22 km/Lge (kilometers per liter gasoline equivalent), which translates to roughly 9.8 km/kWh, promising significantly lower running costs for budget-conscious owners.

Technology and Comprehensive Safety
On the infotainment front, the e VITARA gets a 10.1-inch central touchscreen complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Audio is routed through a premium Infinity Sound System, which packs six high-performance speakers, a standalone subwoofer, and a dedicated digital signal processor to keep drivers entertained during long commutes.
Safety remains a core focus, especially for families making the switch from internal combustion engines to electric power. The e VITARA comes standard with the Suzuki Safety Support driver-assist suite, Dual Sensing Brake Sensor II, seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Brake Hold.
Pricing and Availability
The All-New Suzuki e VITARA will be rolled out to dealerships nationwide with a starting price of P2,020,000. Suzuki Philippines will announce final color options and exact market specifications closer to the vehicle’s official showroom launch.
