VinFast has completed a strategic reorganization of its automotive business into three distinct brand lines and unveiled two new flagship ultra-luxury models, the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S, as it sharpens its positioning across passenger, commercial and premium electric vehicles.
The Vietnamese automaker said the new models join its Lac Hong ultra-luxury marque alongside the 900 LX, while its broader portfolio now sits under a clearer three-tier structure. Lac Hong will serve as the company’s pinnacle ultra-luxury brand, VF remains its mass-market passenger EV line, and Green is dedicated to commercial and service mobility solutions.

Under the new framework, Lac Hong currently comprises the 900 LX, 900S and 800S models. VinFast’s VF range spans mass-market electric passenger vehicles from the VF 3 to the VF 9, including the seven-seat VF MPV 7. The Green brand, meanwhile, covers commercial-focused offerings such as the Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green and Minio Green.
Ultra Luxury
With the launch of the Lac Hong 800S and 900S, VinFast is expanding its ultra-luxury ambitions following the 2025 debut of the 900 LX, which also includes an advanced armored variant. The company said the two new vehicles are inspired by Vietnam’s cultural heritage and are designed to match the craftsmanship and presence of leading global ultra-luxury cars.
The Lac Hong 800S adopts a bold and powerful design, while the Lac Hong 900S leans into a more classical and timeless expression. Both models feature a shared design language that incorporates cultural references throughout the exterior and cabin. Among the key details are a grille with vertical slats inspired by Vietnamese bamboo, a wing-shaped emblem referencing the Lac bird, and repeating motifs drawn from the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields. VinFast said the “Lac Hong” wordmark is finished in a calligraphic style using genuine gold-plated alloy.

Inside, both ultra-luxury EVs use premium materials including Nappa leather, rare woods and gold-plated accents. The pair also comes equipped with advanced intelligent technology, comprehensive safety systems, zero-gravity executive seats, automatic power-assisted doors and premium entertainment systems from globally recognized brands.
The Lac Hong 900S adds further rear-cabin exclusivity with a privacy partition, starlight headliner, large-format projection entertainment system and a foldable executive workstation for second-row passengers, positioning it as a high-end mobile space for business and leisure.

Performance is another focal point. VinFast said both models feature a new fully active suspension system aimed at delivering high ride comfort and dynamic stability. They can also be configured with a tri-motor setup consisting of one front motor and two rear motors, producing up to 460 kW.
The Lac Hong 800S and 900S are scheduled to go on sale in 2027.
“Following a period of accelerated growth – achieving the No.1 position in Vietnam and establishing our presence in key regional markets – the completion of our three-brand structure lays the foundation for our next phase of development: structured, professional and breakthrough-driven. The Lac Hong 800S and 900S stand as further proof of VinFast’s technological mastery, product development capability and advanced manufacturing expertise. We believe products created by Vietnamese intellect, craftsmanship and resilience not only inspire national pride but also convey a powerful message about Vietnam’s cultural heritage and technological stature in this new era of global advancement,” said Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Automotives at VinFast.
To date, VinFast has developed and introduced more than 15 electric vehicle models and has maintained an undisputed leadership position in Vietnam for the past 16 consecutive months. In 2025 alone, the Company set a national sales record with 175,099 vehicles delivered in Vietnam, further solidifying its status as the country’s most beloved automotive brand.
