Lexus Manila has announced the availability of the newest iteration of its flagship sedan – the 2021 Lexus LS. Built under the expert eye of Takumi master craftsmen, the new LS is the coming together of glass, metal, wood, and fabric to create a luxury vehicle’s interior that can only result in art.
Exclusive to the LS Hybrid 4-Seater Premier variant is the ‘kiriko’ glass art ornamentation which is a traditional Japanese craft that is highlighted in the LS interior. Rear seat passengers can also enjoy the retractable ottoman that supports the calves & adjustable seat cushions for optimum space & comfort.

The power-adjustable Ottoman seats are swathed in premium semi-aniline leather and also have seven massage programs to choose from. A very clever feature is the Infrared Rays Matrix sensor that automatically detects the body surface temperature of each passenger and adjusts the cooling or heating for each occupant accordingly. To top it all off, a Mark Levinson Surround sound system with 23 speakers ensure unprecedented sonic quality. On the engineering side, the Lexus LS 500 has options of a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that offers powerful driving performance paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a Hybrid powerplant mated a multi-stage Hybrid transmission for exceptional fuel economy. Artificial Intelligence Shift Control allows a Drive mode switching control selecting the optimum gear by estimating the driver’s driving preferences and intentions from the vehicle speed and the amount of accelerator operation. This kind of intuitive control maximizes the potential of the direct-shift 10-speed automatic transmission and delivers a driving experience like no other. Adaptive Variable Suspension adjusts suspension damping on the fly, and this delivers a super-smooth ride that is expected from Lexus.

The new LS is also equipped with Lexus’s most advanced safety technology including the Lexus Safety System 2.0 (LSS + 2) that addresses the three most common accident types: frontal collisions, lane departures, and nighttime accidents. Adaptive cruise control; adaptive high beams; lane-keeping assist with lane-departure alert are the newest additions to the LS. For added ease of connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now come standard.
The new LS will be available in 4 trims with the following prices: LS500 3.5L – Php 5,928,000; LS500 3.5L 5-seater – Php 9,778,000; LS500h 3.5L 4-seater – Php 9238,000; and LS500h 3.5L 5-seater – Php 11,408,000.
