This initiative is designed to allow current and potential Subaru owners to experience firsthand the impressive capabilities of Subaru vehicles in off-road environments. To kick off this event, MPI invited media friends for a day trip to Tanay, for a sample of what participants can expect during the experiential drive.
Glenn Tan, the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Tan Chong International Limited, the parent company of Subaru distributor Motor Image, flew in from Singapore to welcome guests and encourage them to enjoy the adventure with Subarus that are “Built for Adventures.”
Tanay
Our exciting journey began at the Subaru dealership in Manila Bay, where we received a thorough briefing before setting off. The drive to Camp Well River Valley in Daraitan, Tanay, was a true test of our skills, taking us three hours to navigate through the bustling streets of Metro Manila and onto the challenging roads leading to our destination.
Despite the weekday traffic and increasingly narrow roads along the Marilaque Highway, our group was fortunate to have the reliable and comfortable Subaru Outback to transport us safely to the campsite. The bumpy ride was no match for the Outback’s capabilities, making the journey smooth and enjoyable.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with refreshments and a list of activities we could partake in. One of the highlights was driving the Subarus in a specially designated area of the Daraitan River, providing us with an exhilarating experience that left our adrenaline pumping.
After a full day of adventure, we were chauffeured back to the dealership in the luxurious comfort of the Subaru Outback. The plush seats and powerful air conditioning provided the perfect setting for a relaxing journey back, allowing us to unwind and reflect on the day’s events.
