Who says good-looking cars need to be expensive?

Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design has finally reached the Mirage G4, and it is looking good. This design element is what unifies the brand identity of Mitsubishi’s newer models, and this makes the Mirage G4 fit in perfectly with the brand’s bigger vehicles such as the Xpander, Montero Sport, Strada, and Outlander. The arrangement of the headlights and the grille that covers the full front fascia is what Mitsubishi calls their “game face,” and this is redesign is Mitsubishi’s proclamation that the new Mirage is G4 anything. G (for) anything, get it?

From the sides, the new Mirage G4 has sharp, clean lines that flow from the front all the way to the rear, with one design element beginning where another element ends. The rear has a new edge-to-edge bumper design that enhances its “low and wide” look, while its 15-inch alloy wheels are sporting a new tire design. To complement the refresh and make it look even sportier, Mitsubishi has made available optional genuine accessories such as a new front grille garnish, as well as front, rear, and side airdams.

Inside, special attention was paid to everything that the driver and passengers contact and interact with. The instrument panel has been improved, and the 7-inch head unit is now Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible — something usually only found in pricier nameplates. The seats also come with a new design.

Those familiar with the Mirage G4 should not fret as it retains the qualities that made it one of MMPC’s most sellable nameplates. It is still powered by Mitsubishi’s reliable and economical (3A92) 1.2-Liter 3 In-Line DOHC MIVEC and paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or the INVECS-III CVT.

Depending on the variant, the new Mirage G4 has basic amenities and safety features that come with the package, which makes it an affordable option for starting families, or for fleet and business purposes.

The Mirage G4 is proudly made in Mitsubishi’s plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and has been providing livelihood to many MMPC associates since 2017. The plant has produced over 54,000 units to date.

The new Mirage G4 is available in four colors: Metallic Red (only available for CVT variants), Titanium Gray Metallic, Cool Silver Metallic, and White Solid (only available for CVT variants, upon firm dealer order). Pricing starts at Php 769,000 for the Mirage G4 GL MT, Php 819,000 for the Mirage G4 GLX CVT, and Php 899,000 for the top-of-the-line Mirage G4 GLX CVT.

Instead of an introductory discount, MMPC is throwing in a 2-year or 25,000-kilometer (whichever comes first) Preventive Maintenance Service Package (PMS) with free sanitation service for all purchases of the Mirage G4 from launch up until November 30, 2021.
