Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) formally introduced their new president and managing director to dealer principals and media friends at a turnover event held in Taguig City.
Ramesh Narasimhan was present at the event and handed over the symbolic keys to his successor, Atsushi Najima.
Atsushi has been with Nissan since 2016 and served as deputy general manager of Nissan’s regional financial management group in Japan. Prior to this, he spent 18 years at Procter & Gamble across Asia, holding various finance and general management roles in the Philippines, Singapore, and Japan.
In his three years in the Philippines, Ramesh Narasimhan was able to lead the NPI to its current number three spot which posted a 40% growth in 2018, a time when the automotive sector was feeling the brunt of the new taxation laws. He also made his mark as being a fun and well-liked guy among media and associates alike. Narasimhan has taken on the position of president and managing director of Nissan Thailand, since April 1, 2019.
Good luck, Ramesh! And welcome to the Philippines, Najima-san!
