Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has begun accepting reservations for the New Xpander starting today, March 5, 2022. This is in anticipation of the official launch that is scheduled for May. The Xpander was first introduced in the country in 2018 and has since become the company’s best-selling model. Last year, MMPC’s 7-seater accounted for 54.40% market share further strengthening its number 1 position in its category.
“It came as no surprise to us that the Xpander helped MMPC deliver a strong retail performance. It checks all the boxes when it comes to the qualities that our customers look and yearn for in an MPV. Aside from local recognition, it continuously garners awards from different parts of the world which is a testament to how outstanding it really is,” said MMPC President and CEO Takeshi Hara. “These were part of the inspiration for the newest Xpander, which will actually be already offered in advance to our Filipino customers. But it doesn’t just end there, we also have a special pre-selling treat in store before the month ends.”
The MMPC is giving its customers a sneak peek of the New Xpander two months ahead of its official arrival in the country. First seen in Indonesia, customers can expect:
- Refreshed exterior – its advanced SUV styling is bannered by the new signature T-Shape head and taillights, a redesigned horizontal front bumper, and larger 17-inch wheels and side sills
- Refined interior quality – features a more robust SUV taste starting with the adoption of Mitsubishi’s Design Identity with the Horizontal Axis on the dashboard, soft padding accents, and a 7-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Enhanced utility and drivability – enables a flatter and more comfortable ride due to the addition of high-performance valves in the front and rear suspension while still keeping its best-in-class ground clearance of 225 mm
