Geely Motor Philippines has formally launched the Geely EX2 in Makati City on June 23, 2026, positioning the model as a value-packed entry to the subcompact electric vehicle segment. The EX2, China’s best-selling A/B-segment pure EV in 2025 and through May 2026, is built on Geely’s dedicated Global Intelligent Electric Architecture (GEA) and combines compact exterior proportions with an ultra-long 2,650 mm wheelbase to deliver interior space comparable to many C-segment cars.
The EX2’s exterior design follows a global language steered by the 0.618 Golden Ratio, featuring a friendly “smiling” front fascia, feather-inspired LED headlights, seamless body lines and 16-inch four-leaf-clover alloy wheels. Measuring 4,135 mm long and 1,805 mm wide, the EX2 pushes its wheels to the corners to optimize cabin room and offers a standard luggage capacity of 375 liters that expands to 1,320 liters with the rear seats folded.

Inside, the EX2 features a 14.6-inch high-definition central touchscreen runs Geely’s Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit operating system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth integration, while an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 256-color ambient lighting system enhance usability and personalization. Practicality is further underscored by 36 storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin and a class-leading 70-liter front trunk large enough for a 20-inch carry-on and a backpack.
The EX2’s propulsion package centers on a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 114 horsepower (85 kW) and 150 Nm of torque, driving the rear wheels for a balanced handling character. Suspension setup uses MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link independent rear suspension, delivering an agile 4.95-meter turning radius suited to tight Manila streets. Braking performance is strong, with a 100 km/h stopping distance of 36.9 meters, while a 73.5 km/h moose test result highlights the car’s high-speed stability.

Energy storage is a durable 39.4 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery rated for up to 395 km on the NEDC cycle. The EX2 supports DC fast charging that can take the battery from 30% to 80% in roughly 25 minutes. The vehicle’s structure is built around a high-strength safety cage and a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance System that includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning and a 540-degree transparent chassis camera system for enhanced situational awareness.
Key dimensional and performance figures include a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, overall length of 4,135 mm and width of 1,805 mm; the frunk measures approximately 70 liters while cargo ranges from 375 liters to 1,320 liters with seats down. The drivetrain is rear-wheel drive, the motor output 114 hp and 150 Nm, and the battery capacity 39.4 kWh LFP with DC fast-charge capability. The EX2’s suspension and chassis tuning deliver a 4.95-meter turning circle, 36.9-meter 100 km/h braking distance and a 73.5 km/h moose test figure.
