Inchcape Philippines, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses under its iCATS Motors Inc. operations, has partnered with Sojitz FUSO Philippines Corporation (SFP) to open the first outlet to sell both Mercedes-Benz and FUSO trucks and buses in one facility.
The joint venture marks a powerful and stronger partnership, showcasing Daimler Commercial Vehicles SouthEast Asia’s commitment to its partners and addressing the mobility needs of the market transportation segment with high-quality and durable products.
The full-service facility will offer sales and after-sales services for Mercedes-Benz and FUSO commercial vehicles. The facility features a display area equipped with special tools and work bays to cater to light- to heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Operated by iCATS Motors Inc., the facility is strategically located at 45 Mindanao Avenue, corner Alley 15, Quezon City, near the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), and accessible to operators traversing to and from the metro.
Mr. Alex Hammett, Managing Director of South Asia & Pacific, and CEO Frankie Ang led the Inchscape Philippines delegation, while the Sojitz FUSO Philippines team was led by its president and CEO Yosuke Nishi and EVP for sales and marketing, Mr. Noriyuki Sekita.
On behalf of Inchscape plc, Hammett said that the partnership between Inchscape and Sojitz FUSO Philippines Corporation signifies a strengthened commitment to bringing high-quality and durable products to the country.
Similarly, SFP’s president and CEO, Yosuke Nishi, averred that the establishment of the partnership signifies SFP’s commitment to providing international-quality products and services to the country. It was also said that it enables SFP to expand its connections and improve vehicle sales and after-sales support.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks and FUSO are both under the Daimler Truck umbrella, which continues to strengthen its brand’s presence in Southeast Asia. The new joint facility reinforces Daimler Truck’s commitment to the Philippine market and signals a new era and vision of growth for the Philippine automotive industry.
Also announced at the event was Inchscape Philippines’ appointment of Alpine Motors Corporation in Carmona, Cavite, as its Mercedes-Benz truck dealer for sales, service, and spare parts. Located on a 1,957-square-meter facility, the outlet has a truck display area and two dedicated work bays that can accommodate Mercedes-Benz trucks. Alpine Motors Corporation is the first Daimler truck multi-brand dealer in Southern Luzon.
