Driven by its competitive product SUV lineup, first-in-the-industry aftersales services, and its rapidly expanding dealership network, vehicle sales of Chery Auto Philippines skyrocketed by 351 percent in the first six months of 2021 compared to the same period last year.
Similarly, the brand’s June 2021 sales also shot up by 355 percent compared to June last year.
The growth reflects the warm reception of the Philippine market towards the all-new Chery Tiggo 7 PRO which accounted for one-third (37%) of total Chery sales in the first six months of the year. Launched just last January, the Tiggo 7 Pro posted June sales 160 percent higher than the previous month of May. Orders for July onwards project continuous sustained demand for the high-performance turbocharged compact SUV.
Another hot-selling Chery nameplate is the entry-level Tiggo 2, which comprised close to one-third (33%) of total Chery Tiggo sales. Costing less than many hatchbacks and subcompact sedans, the Tiggo 2 presents a compelling proposition with its SUV space and versatility at a price that starts at P695,000. The Tiggo 2 is available in unique two-tone finishes and comes in manual and automatic versions.

Unlike most car brands that raised prices due to the new safeguard duties, Chery Auto Philippines retained its prices all through March and April. The brand further sweetened the offer with cash discounts on all Chery Tiggo models ranging from P75,000 to P120,000.
