Exciting times lie ahead for MG in the Philippines as it continues to add new nameplates to its stable offerings. At the recent MG Christmas Revel Ball held in Makati City, MG previewed its all-electric MG Cyberster sports car, which is set to launch in the first half of 2024.
Officially launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show held in November 2023, the MG Cyberster marks the return of the sportscar heritage to the MG lineup. The two-seater roaster is based on the MG Cyber Cube platform and is a blend of sportiness and class. It boasts an impressive all-electric powertrain, scissor doors, a luxurious leather interior, a retractable soft top, and an array of advanced driver-assist technologies. With dimensions measuring 4,535mm (L) x 1,913mm (W) x 1,329mm (H) and a wheelbase of 2,690mm, the Cyberster commands attention and is a head-turner. In China, the Cyberster is available in three variants, with the all-wheel-drive variant capable of generating 536 HP of power, a peak torque of 725 Nm, and the ability to go from 0-100 kph in just 3.2 seconds. The top-of-the-line Cyberster is fitted with a 77kWh MNC battery and has a 520-kilometer range. It was launched in China with a price tag of RMB 359,800, or approximately P2,808,747.74. MG Philippines aims to launch the Cyberster sometime in the first half of 2024.




Felix Jiang, president of SAIC Motor Philippines, the new distributor of MG in the Philippines, disclosed that they have eight nameplates from different segments in the pipeline until 2025.
