2023 marks a new milestone for JBL and Infinity Car Audio with its official relaunch in the Philippines under a new exclusive distribution partner – Waido Marketing & Distribution, Inc. (Waido).
Singapore-based Shaun Wong, Asia Pacific Manager for Product Planning & Strategy (Car Audio) from Harman International presented the full range of JBL and Infinity products and discussed how each product tier differed from the other, and what can be expected of a properly defined car audio set-up. Also onsite were six demo cars for the participants to experience the difference between the brands under the Harman International umbrella. Each vehicle was fitted with systems installed and tuned by some of the best car audio installers in the industry.
JBL Car Audio embodies the personality of a live concert that is akin to the likes of band music, thus its tagline, “Loud & Clear.” Its signature characteristic is the experience of a sound stage, leaning toward performance and bass. JBL showcased its various product tiers, starting with the JBL STADIUM, the brand’s current top-of-the-line hi-fi SQ series that is engineered to bring out the powerful, iconic JBL sound through sleek and multi-element speakers and component systems.
JBL also featured the mid-range JBL CLUB that was created to deliver superior JBL performance and fit into most factory speaker locations. The JBL Club is available at a lower price point and is perfect for car audio beginners. A notch higher, both in quality and price point, is the recently-launched JBL CLUB SQ that is the brand’s attainable SQ line, positioned right below the Stadium.
Infinity Car Audio, on the other hand, puts emphasis on bringing out finer musical details and characteristics, particularly preferred by listeners of jazz and instrumentals, the blues, or vocal tracks. Usually preferred by the more mature audience, Infinity also has several product lines available.
The KAPPA PERFECT is the brand’s premium flagship series that delivers hi-fi sound quality performance, with high power handling, high SPL capability and is designed for unparalleled response to bring out the finest musical details. Sitting one notch below is the INFINITY KAPPA line, created for the perfect blend of deep, robust bass and excellent detail delivery. The Kappa is also known for its refined aesthetic, featuring two-tone components and tweeter designs.
Infinity’s mid-range line is the REFERENCE series that was perfected for first-timers, as the entry point toward the full Infinity experience.
