Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) officially opened its doors in Roxas City, the capital of Capiz.
“It was just a few weeks ago when we had a special unveiling in Iloilo of our new MPV, the STARGAZER. And today, we celebrate yet another milestone for the Ang Group, with the inauguration of Hyundai Roxas,” said Mr. Young Uk Ko, Directing Coordinator for Aftersales of HMPH who represented the organization during the ceremonial event last Wednesday, December 7. “Alongside, Mr. Tonton, Mr. Tony, and their dedicated team, we are very excited to finally be here in this part of Panay Island. We are grateful for their continued trust and confidence in the Hyundai brand. And we look forward to helping them achieve more breakthroughs for years to come,” he added.
the Ang Group is headed by their Chairman, Mr. Antonio “Tonton” Ang, one of the network’s pioneers. A loyal and dedicated Hyundai partner for over 2 decades, the group has gone above and beyond to take care of Hyundai customers dating back to 2002 with Hyundai Iloilo. “We started construction in 2019, but when the pandemic hit last 2020, we struggled to finish the construction. Thankfully, after three years and overcoming that significant setback, I am proud and enthusiastic to finally welcome you all to our showroom,” said Mr. Ang.
“Here at Hyundai Roxas, as with all our dealerships, we promise to continue offering high-quality cars, products, and services, because we value our clients’ time, hard work, and investment. Capiznons can look forward to seeing Hyundai’s lineup of new models including the Creta, a subcompact SUV; the Palisade, a large-sized family SUV; the Tucson, a compact SUV; the Santa Fe, a mid-sized SUV; the Staria, a van; and the latest member, the Stargazer, an MPV,” he added.

Roxas, though now evolving as a center for trade and commerce, is called the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines” because of its rich fishing grounds and marine life sanctuaries. It is also recognized as the cleanest and greenest component city in Western Visayas. This is a testament to its commitment to ensuring a healthier and brighter future for its residents as well as visitors, which Hyundai Motor resonates with. Rooted in its vision of Progress for Humanity, Hyundai Motor aspires to take the lead in providing mobility that benefits both the people and the planet.
Situated in Barangay Bolo, Hyundai Roxas has a land area of 3,783 sqm and will operate from Mondays to Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Its showroom can house up to four display vehicles, while the service area is equipped with six service bays that are ready to serve existing and soon-to-be owners.
Expanding the brand’s footprint to reach more Filipinos is one of Hyundai Motor Philippines’ core pillars for the coming year. Hyundai Roxas not only becomes the first dealership inaugurated under HMPH but is also the mark of the start of its road to 45 authorized outlets by 2023.
