Giti Tire has formally reentered the Philippines, opening a new chapter in its expansion across fast-evolving mobility markets and bringing its global scale, OEM credentials, and technology-led product development into sharper focus for local buyers.
Ranked among the world’s top ten tire brands, Giti Tire traces its roots to 1951 and is headquartered in Singapore. The company operates in more than 130 markets worldwide, employs over 28,000 people globally, and runs five manufacturing facilities supported by R&D centers in Germany, the USA, China, and Indonesia. Its product strategy blends advanced research, precision engineering, and learnings from international motorsports—an approach aimed at delivering stability, control, and confidence across everyday city use, long-haul highway driving, demanding racetracks, and heavy-duty off-road terrain.

The Philippine entry is being executed through an exclusive partnership with Power TracTire Inc. (PTTI), giving Giti Tire immediate distribution reach. Ahead of the official debut, thousands of tires were allocated and distributed through PTTI’s nationwide network, setting up near-term availability through authorized dealer partners. PTTI expects the complete line of Giti tires to be available within the month of March.
The launch event on February 25 drew more than 50 dealers from across the country, with most placing initial orders during the launch period—an early sign of strong channel pull as rollout begins across multiple regions.
Giti Tire arrives as demand continues to shift toward reliable, performance-driven tires, including those suited to electric vehicles. EVs typically impose higher torque and load demands due to instant acceleration and battery weight, increasing the importance of durability, structural strength, and wear resistance. Giti’s lineup for the local market covers passenger car, SUV, and all-terrain applications across a wide range of sizes, positioned at a competitive mid-level price point.
Internationally, Giti Tire is a long-running Original Equipment supplier to automakers including Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Volkswagen, Ford, Isuzu, BYD, Geely, Jetour, GAC, and Changan, with several tire models factory-fitted on electric vehicles. Beyond product performance, the company also points to sustainability credentials: it has received the Ecovadis Platinum Medal, placing it among the top 1% of the tire industry worldwide for ESG practices.
