Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is proud to announce that the 2018 batch of the New Civic Type R has finally arrived. Available at a suggested retail price of Php 2,980,000, the iconic Japanese Hot Hatch will be at the dealerships starting September 1, 2018, and will be available in Championship White, Rallye Red, and the new Polished Metal Metallic color.
The New Civic Type R was first revealed at the 2017 Manila International Auto Show and is the first Type R model sold locally. The crowd favorite sold like hot cakes, as the entire batch of one hundred (100) units was booked within 48 hours of the announcement of availability.
The New Civic Type R was designed to deliver an exhilarating driving experience both on the track and on the road. It has the highest distinction for performance for the Civic model line-up, and has proven it capabilities by breaking several track records in some of the world’s most challenging racetracks such as the Spa-Francochamps in Belgium, Silverstone in the UK, Estoril in Portugal and Nurburgring in Germany making it the fastest front wheel drive production vehicle to date.
The new Civic Type R is fitted with a 2.0L VTEC Turbo Engine that promises a maximum power output of 310 PS and peak torque of 400 Nm. It is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission and comes with a bespoke chassis set-up and advanced aerodynamics and technology features.
The latest shipment consisted of one hundred units and Honda dealerships nationwide are now taking reservations. Customer deliveries scheduled to commence by the 1st week of October 2018.
