OMODA & JAECOO Philippines today unveiled the all-new JAECOO J5 EV at the Glorietta Activity Center, pricing the electric SUV at P1,399,000. The launch brings the brand’s latest all-electric SUV to the Philippine market after the model topped sales as the best-selling pure electric SUV in Thailand and Indonesia during the first half of 2026.
Ahead of the public debut, the JAECOO J5 EV completed a two-day endurance drive monitored by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP). The SUV covered 539.2 kilometers on a single charge, or 117% of its certified 461-kilometer NEDC range—surpassing the declared figure by more than 78 kilometers and reinforcing real-world efficiency claims.
The JAECOO J5 EV is equipped with a 58.9-kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery mated to a 155-kW (208 PS) permanent magnet electric motor that produces 288 Nm of torque. Performance figures include an NEDC range of up to 461 km, 0–100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, and DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in about 28 minutes—features that position it for daily commuting and longer trips alike.
The J5 EV pairs bold SUV styling with a roomy, refined cabin. The vehicle offers a 480-liter luggage compartment plus a 35-liter frunk, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, wireless smartphone charging, a high-definition infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, intelligent voice command, over-the-air (OTA) updates and connected-vehicle tech for added convenience.
Safety features are comprehensive. The JAECOO J5 EV includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, a 360-degree Around View Monitor, Electronic Stability Control and multiple airbags.
The launch also introduced AIMOGA, OMODA & JAECOO’s AI-powered humanoid robot. AIMOGA demonstrated natural interaction and intelligent service scenarios, illustrating the brand’s ambition to integrate artificial intelligence into customer experiences and an evolving mobility ecosystem.
To reinforce battery confidence, OMODA & JAECOO Philippines announced an industry-leading Battery State of Health (SOH) Warranty: should battery SOH fall below 70% within the applicable warranty period, the company will replace the battery free of charge, subject to warranty terms and conditions. That commitment aims to reduce range-anxiety and boost long-term ownership confidence.
For a limited time, early buyers can claim up to P69,800 in launch incentives. The package includes a P20,000 reservation benefit (a P10,000 fee upgraded to P30,000 reservation value), a P10,000 repurchase incentive for existing OMODA & JAECOO customers, a P10,000 referral incentive, one year of complimentary Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS), one year of Roadside Assistance (RAS), three years of complimentary mobile remote vehicle control service, and a complimentary 7kW wall charger.
