To further strengthen their after-sales service, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the official distributor of Foton vehicles in the Philippines, launched their EC Mobile Service Truck Program. The program, which was named to stress its being Easy and Convenient, is aligned with another recently introduced UAAGI after-sales program, the EC Genuine Parts where customers may inquire and order accurate parts for their Foton vehicles through a single hotline number.
The EC Mobile Truck is a fully customized Foton Tornado light duty truck. It features a service office, is equipped with specialized Foton tools, and carries genuine parts that allow their staff to perform vehicle Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS), as well as a range of minor to major repairs. Manned by at least two certified technicians, the EC Mobile Truck is completely self-sufficient and is a veritable mobile Foton casa that can go to where the vehicles to be serviced are. This means bringing quality service to where the customers are.
“We are aware that not all out customers are in close proximity to a dealership,” said UAAGI president Rommel Sytin. “That is a pain point we want to address with this new and timely service.“
Each EC Mobile Truck is fitted with a 3.5-kilowatt generator set. They are used to power equipment such as a 1.5 HP air compressor, an impact wrench used when changing tires, and a variety of other mechanical needs. It also has two large capacity oil pans for performing PMS, a creeper for under chassis work, and a variety of essential and precision hand tools. The body was designed with a swing-up canopy and dropside panel which functions as a working bench. It has two sets of 22-volt outlets, anti-skid flooring, and a first-aid cabinet. Spotlights have also been included so that mechanics can perform repairs even at night.
Foton has already turned over the initial five EC Mobile Trucks to select Foton dealerships, but will soon make the service available to the rest of their dealership network across the country.
