Auto Asia, a new company set up by the Berjaya Auto group is to make waves as they offer Korean SUV Specialist, SsangYong and one of China’s top automotive brands, Changan under one roof. The brand recently opened its first dealership – Auto Asia Sta. Rosa – for customers looking for quality world-class vehicles both for business and pleasure. Coinciding with the opening ceremonies of the new dealership was the launch of new offerings from the two brands.
“When a buyer walks into an Auto Asia dealership, one can choose from a wide range of products from SUVs, pickup trucks, MPVs, or small trucks for both the family and one’s business. And they will get the same brand of sales and after-sales service that puts the customer first,” says Mr. Japheth Castillo, President of SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines, Inc. and Berjaya Auto Asia, Inc.
SsangYong, which initially brought in the Tivoli subcompact SUV, the Rodius 9-seater MPV, and the Musso pickup, has added the long-wheelbase Musso Grand and the Rexton 7-seat midsize SUV to its stable. The Musso Grand comes with leaf spring suspension, carries the biggest cargo bed, and will be the longest pick-up truck in the market. The Musso line is the only pick-up model in the market that offers two suspension options: coil springs and leaf springs. The Rexton, which shares the same body-on frame construction as the Musso, is the widest medium-sized SUV in the market, offering a spacious cabin, a tastefully designed interior with superb craftsmanship, and a comfortable ride.
Changan, on the other hand, has had 35 years of experience building passenger cars and commercial vehicles both in China and around the world. Its initial salvo includes the Honor S 7-seat MPV that features sliding doors for easy ingress and egress and the Star Truck small truck which will cater to small and medium-scale businesses.
Auto Asia Sta. Rosa is a 1,300sq.m. facility located along the National Road, Purok 3, Pulong Sta Cruz, Sta Rosa, Laguna which offers sales and service for SsangYong and Changan vehicles. It has an 8-vehicle service area and is equipped with five lifters, tire changers, as well as wheel balancing and alignment machines to make it convenient for customers to maintain their vehicles. Auto Asia Sta. Rosa also has a Mobile Service Van that can provide periodic maintenance service to customers within a 100km radius from the dealership.
