JM Far East, Inc., the authorized distributor of Continental Tires in the Philippines, launched the latest generation SportContact 7, UltraContact 7, and the CrossContact AX6 – the brand’s latest models in the passenger car and SUV/pick-up categories.
“We have a new global benchmark for high-performance tires, and this is the new Continental SportContact 7. Filipinos deserve only the best. I would like all of you to try our products and see for yourselves,” said Winston Manabat, president of JM Far East, Inc.
Aside from the launch activity proper, attendees of the event were able to test the newly-launched tires at the Clark International Speedway to experience the capabilities and best features of each tire first-hand.
The SportContact 7 was engineered for extreme handling stability. As the new global benchmark, this tire offers drivers a safe, high-performance, handling-oriented, high-mileage tire. Every tire is developed to improve overall performance to provide maximum driving performance and extreme safety both on wet and dry surfaces. The SportContact 7 was developed with Black Chili compound to last longer and is tailor-made for different vehicle classes to give the driver the typical SportContact feeling.
The UltraContact 7 has a lot of grips even on wet, slippery roads which translate to shorter braking distance. It is also designed to produce less noise and smooth vibrational frequency, and a longer drive life.
The CrossContact AX6 is the brand’s most quiet and comfortable all-terrain tire in terms of braking performance while not emitting a lot of noise on the track. Due to its sidewall protection wrap it has a reduced risk of puncture and displays improved traction when driving off-road. It promises enhanced wet and dry braking performance due to multiple sipes on the tread pattern. The CrossContact AX6 has a silica tread compound for enhanced grip and provides a comfortable and quiet ride due to the noise blockers in the shoulder that reduces noise generated in the center of the pattern.
