Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the 2022 update of its well-known and well-loved compact family vehicle, the Toyota Avanza. The All-New Avanza is positioned by TMP as the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) that is “fit for the fam, guaranteed to bring the joy of driving and more happiness on the road.”
First introduced in the Philippines in 2006, the Avanza was developed as an affordable 7-seater with room to spare for other items and luggage. Now on its 3rd-generation, the all-new Avanza gets even better value-for-money features and as well as striking design upgrades for its 2022 reinvention.
“The Philippines loves commercial vehicles or CVs. Through the years, MPVs have served as a practical choice for the day-to-day needs of Filipino families,” said TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto. “And we love giving our customers choices! That is why, we are reintroducing our reliable, tried-and-tested model in the compact MPV segment. I am sure this full model change of this well-loved family car will bring more happiness for all,” he added.

The all-new Avanza gets an updated exterior featuring a “sleek and active” design and split-type LED headlamps. The G variant gets 16” alloy wheels as well as the push start button system and a 4.2” TFT Multi-Information display while both the G and E variants get auto-fold side mirrors. The all-new Avanza is now front-wheel drive and equipped with a CVT transmission.
Inside, the seats now come in a new 2-tone seat material and have a Long Sofa Mode feature to maximize cabin space for cargo. Infotainment is courtesy of an 8” Audio Display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity (for the G and E grades), and USB ports charging devices.
The G and E variants also come with a rear camera and back sensor, while the G variant is equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Camera Traffic Alert. It also features Vehicle Stability Control and 6 SRS airbags (G variant).
The all-new Avanza is now available in all TMP’s dealerships nationwide, with the following variants, colors, and SRP:
