Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has introduced a new color for the Mitsubishi Strada Athlete, and it’s the very macho Jet Black Mica. The blacked-out edition of the versatile pick-up truck projects a tougher and more aggressive look to its already robust design. Complementing the new shade is a blacked-out rear spoiler and front bumper. The orange leather seats will also have accents of black to blend with the theme.

To match its tough aesthetics, the Strada Athlete boasts several design elements that make it stand out: side decals that extend from the rear doors up to the tailgate; black exterior design trims on the front “Dynamic Shield” grille; side mirror turn lamps: a styling bar: and 18-inch alloy wheels that exudes a very masculine look.
Strada Athlete has many smart safety features that will ensure an easy and worry-free drive:
- Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) provides both visual and audible driver warnings that help prevent accidents
- Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS) which prevents adverse pedal misapplication
- Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist (BSW with LCA) provides both visual and audible warnings for the driver when an adjacent vehicle is concealed in its blind spot
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) acts as your parking assistant by alerting the driver of an oncoming vehicle when reversing out of a parking spot.
The Strada Athlete is also equipped with Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC) and Trailer Stability Assist, ensuring performance and safety under heavy loads. Moreover, conquer ramps and steep slopes with the pickup’s Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist.
