VinFast is heading into 2026 aiming to convert its early Philippine momentum into wider nationwide reach. The Vietnamese automaker also wants a broader product range and a stronger ownership ecosystem. Together, these moves signal its intent to be a serious Southeast Asian contender in the global EV push.
After a year of brand building, the company says it has progressed from newcomer status to growing recognition among Filipino consumers. That confidence framed VinFast’s Media & KOL Thanksgiving Event in Manila on January 19, 2026. There, it outlined priorities for the year. The focus is on expanding vehicle choices and strengthening the support structure that makes EV ownership practical.

VinFast’s current local lineup includes the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9. The range covers multiple price points and use cases. For 2026, the company is also planning to add electric scooters and an MPV. These are high-demand segments in the Philippines. VinFast sees them as a way to accelerate market penetration.
The company used the Thanksgiving gathering, themed “The Road We Share,” to recognize media, KOLs, and partners. It also positioned its next growth phase as a collaborative effort with the local market. The event was held at Palacio de Memoria in Parañaque. It mixed cultural presentations with discussions on product expansion, dealer growth, and charging infrastructure.

“We are entering 2026 with strong momentum, built on the trust and support we have earned in the Philippines over the past two years,” said Toti Zara, CEO of VinFast Southeast Asia. “This year is about accelerating, expanding access, strengthening our ecosystem, and making electric mobility a source of confidence and pride for Filipino drivers.”
On the product side, VinFast is placing more emphasis on larger SUVs. The VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9 are positioned as core growth drivers in 2026. They target buyers looking for spacious, family-ready EVs. VinFast says these models are designed for daily commutes and longer trips.
The brand is also pushing retail and service expansion. VinFast currently operates 30 dealerships and 34 service workshops nationwide. It plans to scale further within the year. The priority areas are major cities and other high-potential regions. The goal is to improve sales and aftersales access.

Charging is another pillar of the strategy. Through V-GREEN, VinFast says it is deploying charging stations in key urban hubs and along major corridors. More sites are planned for 2026. The rollout is intended to support both electric cars and electric two-wheelers. VinFast says the network will help reduce range anxiety and build long-term confidence in EV ownership.
With larger SUVs taking center stage, new segments on the way, and a widening dealership-and-charging footprint, VinFast is positioning itself for a more mainstream EV push in the Philippines in 2026.
