Calling all hot hatch fans! Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has launched the new 2025 GR Yaris.
The new GR Yaris features a bold, aerodynamic design that reflects its rally heritage, complete with 18-inch aluminum-forged wheels and striking LED lighting. Under the hood, it is powered by a G16E-GTS: a 3-cylinder, in-line, DOHC 4-valve Roller-Rocker engine that produces an improved max output of 280 PS and a max torque of 390 Nm. It has also adopted an upgraded drive mode select, as well as a new sub-radiator and intercooler spray to provide additional cooling and increase the overall performance of the vehicle.
Available in two variants, the 1.6L Turbo A/T offers an 8-speed direct shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, while the 1.6L Turbo M/T features a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission. It is also equipped with safety features such as a back monitor, intelligent clearance sonar, and the improved Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) package with Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). Additionally, the A/T variant comes with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, while the M/T variant comes with Adaptive Cruise Control.
Inside, the driver-centric cockpit includes a 12.3-inch TFT display and a 7-inch audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Pricing starts at P3,391,000 for the M/T variant and P3,550,000 for the A/T variant. Available colorways include Super White, Emotional Red, Precious Black, and Precious Metal.
