As part of its commitment to its customers to provide a complete line of batteries for their needs, Motolite has added two top-of-the-line battery variants to its premium EXCEL line of batteries: the EXCEL EFB and the EXCEL AGM. Available in different sizes, each battery type has its strengths and weaknesses, so it comes down to what matches your vehicle’s needs best.
Motolite EXCEL EFBs, engineered to work with start-stop engines, enjoy longer battery life due to:
- Lower battery temperatures due to low-type plates that provide headspace for acid
- Increased corrosion resistance from enveloped positive plates that prevent deep discharges, from thick-cast positive plate grids, and from reinforced upper frames
- Reduced chances of internal short circuits, due to full-bordered negative plate grids
- Improved current distribution and lowered electrical resistance from optimized wire design
- Increased resistance to vibration from product-specific container ribs
- Slowed self-discharged and reduced deep-discharge shorts through special additives for the battery paste and battery electrolyte
Motolite EXCEL AGMs offer:
- AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) separators which absorb the electrolyte, are critical in enabling oxygen-hydrogen recombination and making the battery spill-proof
- Extremely low gassing and moisture loss due to the oxygen recombination process inherent to VRLA (Valve regulated lead acid) batteries
- Long service life due to the valve-regulated exhaust, which keeps the optimal operating pressure temperature
- Longer service life due to the pure lead (99.99%) grids and connectors which aid in oxygen retention
- Improved power delivery through optimized punch grid technology
Both Motolite EXCEL EFB & AGM are backed by Motolite’s nationwide warranty coverage. The Motolite EXCEL EFB comes with an 18-month (for start-stop vehicles) / 27-month (conventional vehicles) warranty, while the Motolite EXCEL AGM offers a 21-month (for start-stop vehicles) / 24-month (conventional vehicles, respectively) warranty.
Express Hatid Hotline and RES-Q App
For many years now, loyal Motolite customers have had the brand’s Express Hatid Hotline numbers saved in their phonebooks because they know that help is just a phone call away. Lately, though, for improved customer satisfaction, Motolite has come up with the RES-Q app for smartphones. While both platforms use the same pool of riders that offer safe and reliable service, app users have the edge over those who phone in on demand in terms of convenience and overall ease of use.
For one thing, app users have all their records at their fingertips. This info includes vehicle data, online payment options, and just recently, E-Warranty. Customers who purchase Motolite batteries can now secure an E-Warranty by registering the battery and vehicle details via their RES-Q account. By doing so, they will have all the necessary information necessary for Motolite’s outlets & customer service channels to identify and process warranty claims anywhere in the country right at their fingertips. No more having to rely on the hard copies that tend to disappear exactly when you need them.
Another convenient feature of the RES-Q App is that users can use their current location when requesting assistance. The dropped pin will allow the dispatched rider to find the exact location even in places that are unfamiliar to the customer. It also has a tab for other services that point to Motolite-accredited establishments that offer Tire and Tire Services; Aircon Services; Repair and Maintenance; Automotive Body, Detailing and Service; as well as Parts and Accessories.
All Motolite RES-Q riders are specially trained and capable of providing the following services:
- Battery Replacement
- Battery servicing, including jumpstarting a customer’s discharged battery, testing battery health, and recommending recharging (if the battery is still healthy),
- replacement (if failing, but still under warranty),
- new purchase (for expired warranties)
- Swift and skilled battery removal and installation
- Tire Assistance – Emergency re-inflation of a flat tire, or assistance in changing to a spare tire
- Emergency Refuel – Delivering emergency fuel in case a customer runs out of gas (currently limited to 4 liters of Shell V-Power; the customer is charged the current gasoline prices)
- Overheating Assistance
