VinFast Philippines will provide 11 units of the VF MPV 7 electric vehicles for delegates from ASEAN Dialogue Partners at the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting and associated meetings in Manila from October 5 to 8, 2026.
The vehicles will serve as the official fleet for the Dialogue Partners’ delegates. The meetings will bring together energy ministers and senior officials from ASEAN member states, partner countries and international organizations to discuss regional energy priorities, including energy security, renewable power, efficiency and cross-border connectivity.
The VF MPV 7 is a seven-seat electric vehicle launched in the Philippines in May 2026. VinFast says it is designed for family use, with seating across three rows and up to 1,240 liters of cargo space.
The vehicle has a 60.13-kWh battery and a claimed range of up to 450 kilometers per charge under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Its electric motor produces 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque.
VinFast described its fleet deployment as a demonstration of electric vehicles’ potential for official and group transport. The company is also participating in discussions at the ASEAN Energy Business Forum, which brings together stakeholders to consider ways to support a more sustainable and resilient energy future.
The company said its regional plans include electric vehicles, charging solutions and aftersales support as it expands its presence across Southeast Asia.
