Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI)., recently partnered with volunteer group Rock Ed Philippines to supply select Caltex service stations with liquid hand soap and surface cleaners to provide a safe and healthy environment for the motoring public.
The liquid hand soaps provided by Rock Ed were formulated with all-natural ingredients in partnership with a local organic soap distillery. They are mild enough not to dry the hands to encourage frequent handwashing but strong enough to keep microbes at bay.
These soaps are available at the following Caltex service stations where public handwashing areas are located: EDSA corner Scout Borromeo, Quezon City, Km. 62 South Bound, San Felipe, San Fernando City, SLEX, South Antonio, San Pedro, Laguna and Poblacion, San Pascual, Batangas.
Aside from the free handwashing areas at the stations for customers and staff, Hygiene standards, regular temperature checks, observance of social distancing, and frequent sanitation of areas with high human touchpoints are also implemented in the stations. Customers are also encouraged to use contactless payment methods.
Rock Ed Philippines, a multi-project creative collective guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals has been partnering with gas stations to provide hand soaps in handwashing areas to encourage the public to wash their hands often to avoid the spread of the virus.
