Nissan Urvan Premium S : Tricked-out luxury within reach

Last year, Nissan Philippines introduced what they called their entry to the luxury segment – the Nissan Urvan Premium. Targeting those who needed that extra bit of luxury without breaking bank, the Nissan Urvan Premium focused on passengers’ comfort and convenience, more than just its seating capacity.

Most of us are familiar with how cramped vans can be – especially for those who aren’t pint-sized or petite – and that is why the Nissan Urvan Premium came as a welcome alternative. With its improved seats and sitting configuration, higher roof height, and wider body, it elevated the van experience to something actually relaxing and pleasurable.

Fast forward to present times. Proven to have great bones, the Urvan Premium now has a further enhanced variant called the Nissan Urvan Premium S. As expected, the upgrades don’t come cheap, but this dealer option to be rendered by A-Toy Customs truly places the Urvan Premium S in the luxury class.

From the outside, the only real telltale sign of the upgrade is its six-spoke alloy wheels, as the bulk of the improvements focused on the interiors.

Inside, the difference is more obvious.

For starters, the Urvan Premium S loses four seats with a new configuration of 2-2-2-4. The first two rows of seats are replaced with high-quality leather captain seats that recline, slide, and rotate, while the last row remains to be a 4-seater with individual backrests.

Somebody finally took notice and upgraded the stock 2-DIN radio and replaced it with a multimedia head unit featuring a 7-inch Pioneer touchscreen display with DVD, MP3, USB functionality, navigation, as well as Bluetooth connectivity. A pair of 10.1-inch Blaupunkt headrest monitors compliments this system for the benefit of the passengers.

For convenience as well as added ambiance, overhead storage and mood lighting in the form of LED lights are included in the package.

Rounding up the list of upgrades is the inclusion of a Blaupunkt dash camera, a backup sensor, and an anti-theft alarm system for added security and peace of mind.

The 2018 Nissan Urvan Premium is powered by a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 129 HP and 356 Nm of torque. It comes in both manual and automatic transmissions. Stock safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, brake assist, load sensing valve, electronic door locks, and security alarm.

The Nissan Urvan Premium S conversion package is available for P400,000 to P450,000 on top of the current ticket price of the Urvan Premium of P 1,776,000 for manual and P 1,836,000 for an automatic transmission.

Customers can visit any of the Nissan dealerships for inquiries and orders.
