Nissan has appointed Yoshinori Kanazawa as President of Nissan Philippines, effective April 1, 2026, marking a key leadership transition for the brand’s operations in the local market. He will be based in Manila and will report to the President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand.
Kanazawa currently serves as Managing Director of the Nissan Importers Business Unit (NIBU), ASEAN, as well as Managing Director of Nissan Singapore Pte. Ltd., based in Thailand. In that role, he oversees Nissan’s importer business operations across Southeast Asia and works with regional partners to support market development across the ASEAN region.
With nearly 20 years of experience within Nissan, Kanazawa brings extensive regional and global expertise to his new post. His career has included leadership assignments in Japan, China, and other international markets, spanning corporate planning, product planning, and dealer network development. Before taking on his current responsibilities, he held senior roles within Nissan China and its joint ventures, where he helped drive strategic planning and dealer network expansion.
Kanazawa will succeed Masao Tsutsumi, who has been promoted to President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand and will be based in Thailand. Tsutsumi takes over from Toshihiro Fujiki, who has been elevated to Corporate Executive, Global Aftersales, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.
During his time as President of Nissan Philippines, Tsutsumi led efforts that strengthened the automaker’s market presence and maintained brand momentum. He also worked closely with the local organization and dealer partners to reinforce the network and improve the Nissan customer experience.
Nissan Philippines expressed gratitude to Tsutsumi for his leadership and contributions to the business, while wishing him success in his new role.
Kanazawa’s official inauguration will proceed once he qualifies under Philippine laws and receives confirmation and election by the Nissan Philippines Board of Directors.
