Tesla Opens 4th Supercharging Station at Opus Mall

Tesla has officially inaugurated its 4th Supercharging Station in Metro Manila, adding another high-speed charging site at Opus Mall in Bridgetowne Destination Estate, Quezon City. The opening expands the brand’s fast-charging footprint in the capital and gives EV owners another convenient stop along a fast-developing commercial corridor that links Quezon City, Pasig, and nearby business districts.

Located on the third-floor Mezzanine 1 of the Opus Mall parking area, the new facility is now Tesla’s fourth Supercharger in Metro Manila and notably the northernmost site to date in the region. For drivers coming from the northern parts of Metro Manila—or those regularly moving between Quezon City and the Ortigas-Bridgetowne area—this location helps reduce reliance on the more south-leaning charging hubs and improves route flexibility for daily commuting and weekend travel.

The Opus Mall station is equipped with four (4) V4 Supercharger units, each capable of peak charging speeds of up to 250 kilowatts (kW). V4 hardware represents Tesla’s latest generation of Supercharging equipment, designed to support faster, more efficient top-ups and improved usability. In practical terms, this translates to less time spent waiting and more time on the road—one of the key advantages of DC fast charging for urban drivers who may not always be able to charge at home.

Tesla says that using a Supercharger, it takes around 20–30 minutes to charge a Tesla Model Y from 20 percent to full, depending on conditions such as battery temperature, stall availability, and the vehicle’s state of charge on arrival. The company also notes that a quick five-minute charging session can add roughly 120 kilometers of range, reinforcing the Supercharger’s role as a rapid “top-up” solution rather than an extended parking-and-charging routine. For many motorists, that kind of short stop is comparable to a quick break at the mall—enough time for a coffee or a short errand—before heading back out.

With the addition of Opus Mall, Tesla’s Metro Manila Supercharger network now includes sites at Shangri-La Plaza Mall, UP Town Center BGC, and SM Mall of Asia, giving owners multiple options across major commercial and lifestyle destinations. In total, Tesla now operates four Supercharging Stations with 16 Supercharger units across Metro Manila, strengthening coverage in areas where EV adoption is steadily rising.

Beyond charging, Tesla’s local footprint continues to widen. The company currently has three Experience Locations, one Service Center, and two Tesla-Approved Body Shops, supporting sales, ownership, and aftersales requirements for its growing customer base. Complementing the DC fast-charging network are six Destination Charging stations equipped with 24 Wall Connectors, designed for longer dwell times at hotels, restaurants, and other venues where drivers can conveniently top up while parked.

According to Isabel Fan, Senior Regional Director of Tesla HK-Macau and South East Asia, more charging locations are already in the pipeline and are scheduled to open within the year, including two in Cebu, plus new stations in Clark, Baguio, Olongapo, Taguig, further extending coverage beyond Metro Manila and into key regional corridors. For EV owners and would-be buyers, this planned expansion is significant: it helps reduce range anxiety, improves route planning, and makes electric mobility more viable for both city driving and intercity travel.
