Suzuki Philippines (SPH) closed its 2019 books with a 21.17-percent increase covering all four quarters of the year. The consistent boost in sales was the realization of the company’s aggressive sales and marketing efforts throughout the year with the Ertiga, Vitara, and Celerio emerging as the company’s best performers.

Following the remarkable performance of the brand, Keiichi Suzuki will now lead the company to new milestones as the newly promoted Vice President of SPH and concurrent General Manager of the Automobile Division effective January 1, 2020.

Following the remarkable performance of the brand, General Manager of the Automotive Division Keiichi Suzuki was promoted to Vice President of SPH effective January 1, 2020, and will hold both positions concurrently.

“We in Suzuki Philippines are proud to have ended 2019 on a high note. The past year is a testament to our accomplishments in our feat to gain the trust of the Filipinos that we are able to give them quality driving experience. As we enter a new year, it is our responsibility to assure our customers that we will continue to be ambitious as we thrive to exceed their expectations through the products and services we offer,” said Keiichi Suzuki.

“Last year was a landmark year for us and we share this success with our customers who continue to support our brand as we continuously provide them with more options that cater to their idea of driving in comfort with newer offerings geared toward the fulfillment of our mission,” he added.

The versatile Ertiga MPV was responsible for 34 percent of SPI’s total sales for the year and took the top spot as the company’s bestseller. In second place with an 11 percent share was the Vitara compact SUV. Completing the podium of best performers is the tiny Celerio contributing a 10 percent share in total sales.

On top of these best-sellers is the all-new Jimny ALLGRIP PRO that instantly became the brand’s global favorite entry for the year and one of the most coveted locally-launched models in 2019.

Suzuki Philippines is set to continue its innovative efforts to serve the Filipino market by staying true to the brand’s promise of quality driving experience with every Suzuki vehicle.
