Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, launched the fifth-generation all-new Subaru Impreza, the brand’s first model to employ the revolutionary Subaru Global Platform.
“The all-new Subaru Impreza, with the new Subaru Global Platform, is set to pave the way for a new generation of vehicles that will deliver a superior driving experience like no other. There is a growing group of discerning customers in the Philippines who are looking for technology, safety and ride quality in one package, making the new Impreza the perfect partner for the local road conditions,” said Glenn Tan, Executive Director of Tan Chong International Ltd. The Impreza was recently been honored with the much-coveted title of 2016-2017 Japan Car of the Year.
Drivers of the all-new Impreza will benefit from a boost of confidence as a result of the combination of Subaru’s Boxer Engine, All-Wheel Drive and safety features like the Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection (SRVD) and Steering Responsive Headlights; all of which are derived from the new Subaru Global Platform. This unique combination ensures that drivers of the all-new Impreza enjoy an elevated driving experience, with significantly less vibration and noise and precise control over the vehicle at all times.
The all-new Subaru Impreza 2.0i-S (4-Door) delivers 156ps of power @6000 rpm and 196nm of torque @4000 rpm coursed through a Lineartronic CVT transmission format. The 130mm ground clearance should indicate that the all-new Subaru Impreza is well-rounded vehicle for urban and country drives.
Subaru’s current lineup of vehicles includes the BRZ, Forester, Legacy, Levorg, Outback, WRX, WRX STI, and XV.
The tag price of the all-new Subaru Impreza starts at PHP 1,358,00.
