Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) is extending temporary toll relief to transport operators on the North Luzon Expressway as fuel prices continue to pressure public transport and logistics costs.
The company said its NLEX KaBiyahe program will run from March 23 to May 22, 2026, covering accredited Class 2 Public Utility Buses (PUBs) and modernized jeepneys, along with Class 3 vehicles. The initiative aligns with the government’s broader effort to cushion the transport sector from the impact of rising fuel expenses.
Eligible transport owners may receive toll rebates of P12 to P72 per passage, depending on vehicle type and NLEX entry and exit points. MPTC said the rebate effectively returns toll fees to rates in place before the latest adjustment.
The move is aimed at helping contain transport costs for essential goods, sustaining commerce and economic activity, and easing pressure on the commuting public.
To qualify, Class 3 vehicles must be valid Easytrip subscribers in good standing with sufficient load and must not be enrolled in any other toll rebate or discount program on MPTC expressways, including the Toll Exemption for Agricultural Trucks.
Meanwhile, PUBs and modernized jeepneys must enroll in the KaBiyahe program by sending the required documents to customercare@mptc.com.ph. They must also be accredited operators registered with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), maintain an Easytrip prepaid account in good standing with sufficient load, and not be enrolled in any other toll discount programs on MPTC toll roads.
MPTC said transport owners who incur any citation or traffic violation during the program period will be disqualified from receiving rebates.
The application window for PUBs and modernized jeepneys is set from March 23 to April 5, 2026.
Operators seeking more information may visit the NLEX Corporation official Facebook page or call the MPTC Hotline at 1-35000.
Apart from the rebate offer, Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) will continue to receive support through the Passada Card program for jeepneys operating along northern routes.
