MAN Automotive Concessionaires Corp. (MACC) has partnered with VW Truck and Bus and is now the official Philippine distributor of the German brand’s truck and bus business.
VW Truck and Bus has 40 years of experience in providing German technology and reliability, and in Brazil, it added extra key components to the combination, namely flexibility and creativity. In its first year of existence (1981), the company started exporting to Chile, Paraguay, and Mexico. Since then, VW Truck and Bus has exported over 160,000 vehicles to more than 30 countries in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

MACC has been in the business for 32 years and is known to provide solutions through its product line and by providing excellent aftersales service and support. The VW line will add categories 3 and 4 to its existing category 5 trucks.
The distributor is bringing in various models in different weight classes – from 9 tons to 31 tons – and in 4×2, 4×4, 6×4, 8×2, and 8×4 executions. The vehicles will be powered by popular Cummins and MAN engines and equipped with efficient Common Rail fuel management systems. The Euro 5-compliant vehicles come with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) emission technology and will come with either 6-, 9-, or 16-speed transmissions. Possible applications include closed vans, wing vans, refrigerated vans, drop-sides, flatbeds, people transport. food & beverage transport, TO boom trucks, tipper trucks, cement mixers, and special-purpose vehicles.
