Inchcape Philippines has officially launched the all-new Changan Eado Plus, marking the brand’s latest push in the local compact sedan market.
The new model arrives as Changan looks to strengthen its position in the passenger car segment with a compact sedan that combines styling, comfort, technology, and value. Introduced in China in 2012, the Changan Eado has grown into one of the marque’s key nameplates. In 2025, it posted sales of 168,900 units and was named the No. 1 Gasoline Sedan Brand in China by the China Passenger Car Association.
In the Philippines, the all-new Changan Eado Plus is being positioned under the promise of “The New Standard for Everyday Driving,” with Inchcape expecting it to become one of the brand’s volume drivers this year.
The sedan features a contemporary exterior design led by a three-dimensional front grille, halogen projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, and an automatic headlight function standard on both variants. It also gets heated and power-adjust side mirrors with integrated turn signals. The Lite variant comes with 16-inch steel wheels, while the Luxe rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the model is fitted with winged LED tail lights and a chrome garnish.
Inside, the Eado Plus offers a spacious cabin with black fabric seats and a 10.25-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster as standard. The Lite variant is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, paired with a two-speaker setup. The Luxe variant gets a larger 10-inch touchscreen with Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity, along with a four-speaker audio system.
Both variants come with a 12V power socket and two Type-A USB ports on both rows. The sedan also features a PM2.5-grade air filter, rear window defogger, LED cabin reading lights, and a day and night inside rear-view mirror. Additional features on the Luxe include automatic climate control, rear air vents, steering wheel controls, tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment, and foldable second-row seats.
Power comes from a 1.5-liter Bluecore gasoline engine mated to a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission, producing 105 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Both variants use front-wheel drive, electronic power steering, MacPherson strut front suspension, and a torsion beam rear suspension. The Luxe variant also offers Eco and Normal drive modes.
For safety, the all-new Changan Eado Plus is equipped with driver and Driver and Passenger Airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Brake Assist System, Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Electronic Throttle, Rear Parking Sensors, Child Safety Lock, ISOFIX Tethers, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Keyless Entry, Central Locking, and Space Saver Spare Tire.
For an added layer of protection, the Luxe variant has additional safety features, such as the Side Airbags, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Hold (AH), Reverse Camera, Smart Entry, Push Start Ignition, Remote Engine Start, and Speed Sensing Door Lock.
The all-new Changan Eado Plus is offered in four colors: White, Black, Andean Gray, and Titanium Silver Gray, which is available by special order. It comes in two variants: the Changan Eado Plus 1.5 Luxe DCT with a suggested retail price of P799,999, and the Changan Eado Plus 1.5 Lite DCT priced at P750,000.
As part of its launch offer, Inchcape Philippines is extending special introductory prices until April 30, 2026. During the promo period, the Eado Plus 1.5 Luxe DCT is available for P749,999, while the Eado Plus 1.5 Lite DCT is offered at P699,000.
